Happy Birthday Larry Blackmon!

On May 25th, we celebrated the birthday of Larry Blackmon on my show, "So Funkdafied"! Larry's birthday is actually May 24th, and we played Cameo videos the whole show!! Needless to say, the Funk was in tha house! I took this photo with Larry almost 3 years ago, and it was a highlight of my career!! When I was in high school, a friend of mine and I would sit around and learn Cameo toons together...she played piano, and I played bass guitar. Cameo was one of those groups that I admired and I was excited to be able to sit down and talk to Larry Blackmon. We talked funk, and I got him reacquainted with someone who I knew from my home town that used to play for Cameo before they hit stardom. I will never forget that day...everyone doesn't get a chance to meet a "Funkstar" like Larry Blackmon!
